Once your domain name is sold, you will need to transfer ownership to the new owner. This is a simple administrative process involving your domain registry, your domain hosting company and the new user's domain hosting company.
The domain registry must be notified that there is a new owner for the domain, and the domain hosting companies must be notified that the domain is moving to a new physical location. Often, the new owner''s domain hosting company will contact the domain registry and perform the transfer for you. Typically, you must notify your domain hosting company of this move as well.
